Description
: Up for auction is this Vintage Decorative Detailed Wax art  plaque detailing a European village street of cobblestones and a stagecoach & horses outside of what I believe to be a tavern or inn.  I have seen a similar item attributed to " Bavarian Art Works "  but that item was a brown monotone where this one is fully colored which adds detail, depth, and beauty to the item. Iconic of rustic decorations common to the mid century.  Ivy, chickens, barrels, townspeople, broom & shingles decorate the plaque.  The coloring & style give the appearance of carved wood.  There is a cord on the back embedded in the wax for easy hanging. In one photo I show the plaque suspended from my finger and it shows no sign of weakness. This piece would be great in any bar or man cave.  I am sure you will love this piece as much as I do!  Please check our other listings, when possible we will reduce shipping when multiple lots are purchased.

Marks
: None, but I have seen a similar item attributed to Bavarian Art Works.
Condition
:  very nice condition with no significant gouges in the wax on the front and minor paint rubbing at some high points.  (see photos)  The back is in similar condition with a few more gouges (dee photos)  - No major gouges and only minor rubs on the decorative portion.
Most importantly please use photos to aid in your evaluation - you may find that it looks better than it sounds.

Ours is a smoke free home, but many of our items are purchased second hand and we do not know the situations where they have previously been stored.  If we notice the smell of smoke, we do mention it under condition.
