Very rare vest from Gorna Reka region, Ottoman period vest

Description

This is a handmade ethnic vest, part of the ethnic costume of the region of Gorna reka in the Ottoman period. The vest was made and was worn before 1900, the late XIX century. It is kept in a good antique condition for its age. It was made of velvet and gold sirma or 'srma', made of metal thin string. The embroidery is unique, detailed and in complex pattern. This is an extremely rare and hard to be found vest.
