Romanian/Hungarian? Antique Leather/Embroidered Fleece Costume/Ceremonial Vest

I believe this is either Romanian or Hungarian.  It is a leather vest with fleece lining and I believe it may be a ceremonial vest.  It has multiple rows of applied tooled leather strips alternating with stunning multi-colored hand embroidery designs.  Every tiny space on this vest is covered with design.   I am not a clothing expert but this vest appears to me to have a lot of age to it.  With that in mind, there are some areas that are worn but very little.  It is wearable but stiff and heavy which may be its original condition because of the amount of leather & fleece involved.  I believe this is very rare, try finding one this old! (or at all!) I found one vest online very similar which is described as Romanian from Transylvania Maramures region but  I can't confirm that.  That vest is similar but not nearly as intricate or as old looking.
The pictures do not capture the colors very accurately, but it looks more like the medium photos rather than the very dark or very light.
As far as size, I wear X-large womens and can't quite get it on so I would guess it's a Medium to Large Women's or Small Mens.  It measures 25" from neck to waist and 22" armpit to armpit.
