Ethnic costume from Bitola, Macedonian ethnic women's costume

Description

This is a traditional ethnic women's costume from Macedonia, from the region of the villages near Bitola. This was a costume for everyday used (working at home and working on the fields through the summer). The costume is from the middle of the first half of XX century and is kept in a very good condition, without damages of any kind. Every part of the costume is handmade, hand woven and hand knitted and embroidered.
The costume contains long shirt (dress), scarf, apron and decorative towel for the waist. The shirt has beautiful decoration of hand embroidery. The whole costume, every part of it, is made of pure and natural wool and cotton.
