Receives standard DMX512 protocol data (generated by a wireless dmx transmitter) allowing normal control of your dmx lighting without having to buy, store, carry or run cables!
Receives signal data in real-time, reliably and with no latency or delay via 2.4G ISM frequency; it will automatically change to any of 126 frequencies (adaptive frequency hopping which picks out only open radio frequencies) if there is any interference in transmission, giving it high anti-jamming ability while not interfering with frequencies already in use.
Applications include band lighting, church lighting, banquet and event lighting, stage lighting, deejay lighting; disco, restaurant or bar lighting, any large performance area -- anywhere you have dmx-capable lights you want to control remotely. These units will allow you to place lights practically anywhere -- they're reliable at least 100 meters indoors and 500 meters outdoors -- and have control without having to mess with long cables! The signals will pass through many objects, including people, trees, scenic props, fabrics, and even some walls (though range may be decreased in some cases -- line-of-sight is best).
These units are linked to each other automatically and completely plug 'n' play right out of the box for most uses. The frequency range will NOT interfere with wireless mics or instruments. If you have a LOT of lights, you can add more transmitters and link them separately to other receivers for separate 'universes.'
Here's how a band might use them: suppose a band has two light stands with 8 lights each, one for either side of the stage. The transmitter plugs into the back of the dmx controller and one receiver goes into one light on each side of the stage. The other lights on each stand can be daisy-chained to the light that has the receiver, using inexpensive short lengths of dmx cable. All 16 lights can be controlled using only one transmitter and the two receivers. If you have lights in other locations -- back or front lights, or even lights hundreds of feet away on the other end of a banquet room -- add receivers as needed, and all will respond to your single transmitter.
