Carriage Lantern in Antique Brass with Beveled Glass

Description

Up for auction is a rather rustic carriage lantern in antique brass. Three sides have beveled glass and the fourth has a mirror, all of which are intact. The lantern stands about 16" in height. The side glass panes measure about 4 3/4" tall and 4" wide, while the front glass measures 4" tall by 3" wide. There is a metal band bolted to the inside of the lantern where a suitable light socket can be installed. The lantern has a pre-drilled hole for the wiring. Access to the interior is through the hinged front panel which lifts up. You can then secure it via the clip on the bottom of the front panel. We no longer have the carriage this was intended for, so it's time to find a good home for this item. It would certainly look great on a carriage or inside the house as a decorative wall sconce.
